I’m assuming if you are at this site it isn’t to know about my personal life (but I’ll get there), but you are more interested in my web background. I have been fiddling with web development for about 8 years or so. I have pretty solid understanding of HTML, XHTML and CSS. I have been doing a lot more Flash work for the past year and have put web on the back burner. This was mostly due to my job at Root Learning.
I have done quite a bit of JavaScipt and I’m starting to really understand the power of jQuery. I have looked into MooTools but jQuery just seems to be easier. PHP and MySQL are also technologies that I can make way through, but I’m not where the level I would like to be. I’m not sure how WordPress fits into this, but I feel like understanding it is very important, and may be the new way to make sites for customers.
Ok enough about web design, this part gets a little more personal. I obtained a bachelor degree at Bowling Green State Univeristy in VCT (Visual Communication Technology). I’m currently enganged to a very wonderful woman who I get to spend the rest of my life with (yay)! I work at a company called Root Learning where I recently obtained the position “Online Marketing Media Tech”, which means I make websites and I’m going to be our Social Media expert. Twitter, while new to me, is a very powerful tool that I’m starting to use and find enjoyable. It also means that playing on FaceBook is a part of my job.
